You must use an optima (or like type) battery. A standard battery like from Autozone or Sears will release TOXIC fumes into your car. But Optima batteries rock as far as reliability. They far exceed a diehard or interstate.

my brother has a red top Optima in his car, its junk.....The type is what you are looking for, but if your going to do it, do it right and get the stronger yellow top battery, that is a badass battery right there.

Let me guess, your relocating your battery because that weight in the back is going to make your car corner like its on rails?

I'm not planning on racing, I'm relocating to open up space and open up air flow a bit, and put a little more wieght on the passenger side to balance it a bit better once I hop in... thats all if I even do it... I'm kinda thinking about it, but I don't plan on working on my car much untill it warms up! haha just checking up on things just incase

whats the difference in the d75ou and d75os? and would both be ok to use inside the car? like I said, I'm still trying to figure all this battery stuff out

When we corner weighed my car it was 40 lbs. light in the right rear corner. At the time I have a 10 lbs dry cel in the front battery tray. Guess where my battery is now? Right rear.

Now it corners mad fast yo!

that pretty much tells me nothing at all, I don't care about that, I am just trying to figure out what battery you all would suggest, right now I'm not relocating it but I am going to be getting a new battery soon I believe

Actually you asked what to use for inside your passanger compartment.

You can run your battery in the passanger compartment if you use this. Its a Moroso Battery box. its about $100. At summit racing.

When you stuff your battery in a Moroso sealed battery box, you can locate it just about anywhere you want on your vehicle and not worry about water, dirt, dust, etc. ruining it. And quite honestly. I cannot understand what to big deal is over the Redtop batteries. Your Altenator is what supplies power once the car is running. Not the Battery. I would be more concerned about getting my hands on a FD Atlenator.

i have my battery relocated to that spot. i have the "miata racing" battery. i dont know the exact numbers on the battery but my car runs great on i and the battery fits nicely with no cutting. i also have the fuses for my stereo in there as well.
