Need Some Info Please

What is it that makes the SI heavier than the HF. Isn't it just the engine/tranny, or am I missing something? This has been bugging me for a while.

Sunroof, larger hubs, axles and brakes. The engine and trans are heavier. I think that is pretty much it. Of course some interior parts could be heavier but I think the ones I listed make up the bulk of the extra weight.

engine, tranny, hubs, brakes, sway bars, seats, sound deadening, bumpers and bumper supports, and on the 88 HF, the fuel tank is 1 gallon smaller.

I know of one more thing that makes a HF lighter...The hatch on the HF is lighter than the Si hatch, thats why some ppl put the HF hatch on there DX or Si.

Just my worth!

I dont want to call the noobi out but why would the hatch be lighter? I am just wondering that. I would think that the hatch would be a hatch since the same one is on every car made.

Hey the Noob is right. The HF hatch is lighter on the CRX's. They dont have the rear wiper assembly. Also I dont believe the HF has a/c! The a/c system weighs 40lbs. I have shipped 2 out so they are kinda heavy!

Thanks for the reports guys. I was talking about the CRXs if that helps. So there is no a/c in the HF? That does not make any sence at all. Just my .

Re: Need Some Info Please

A/C was a dealer installed option, so it was up to the orginal buyer or selling dealer.
