Hi everybody,
I have 2 questions to all of you. I have a 2001 Accord Coupe EX-V6 and i'm planning to buy fog lamps. I'm thinking about buying OEM lamps, those should fit nicely in designated cut-outs. Has anyone of you already got them? Will you recommend them, or it's better to buy something like PIAA? Any feedback will be appreciated. My second problem is - I tinted my windows and that tint is obviously darker the legal level (which is 70% in NY). Now I'm almost scared to leave my parking lot . I suppose many of you may got it, how is it working out for you? How many were pulled over and ticketed? Thanks a lot, Victor |

OEM fog lights little bit expensive then PIAA, but it comes with all wiring and wiring diagrams, so basically you need to find connector on stock wiring and plug fog light wiring into it. it also comes with nice looking OEM fog light switch.
on other board some ppl complaining about bulb replacement, it has H11 bulb in it and if you need to replace it you have to go to dealer since nobody else carry it. But I have OEM fog light for more 3 years and still have original bulbs in it. I pretty much happy with them, they don't have light output as much PIAA, but still very good (I have 1700 PIAA on my 94EX). if you decide to buy OEM's, I recommend to shop here -> http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/ i cann't help on tint since i don't have one. for additional information check this link out -> http://www.v6accord.com/forums/showt...&threadid=3272

Hello there
what seems to be the situation with your tint?!?!? Is it too dark for you to drive?!?! I have a rather dark tint on my ride as well. I don't remember how dark it is (i have to look it up), but it's rather dark. I don't have too much problem just look for headlights...if you see some, becareful. ![]() The one thing that I'm scared off is people. Just go really really slow and you should be ok ![]() you got some pictures of your ride?!?! About your fog lights. it all depends on what type of light you want. There are three types of lights. FOG LIGHTS DRIVING LIGHTS SPOT LIGHTS fog lights have a very wide beam of light. The light is only for short distance. this is because they are made for the FOG ....the beam is shoter than your headlights. They are meant to be like that. Driving lights....that is obvious, they're made for driving. they have the same (or close) beam pattern as regular headlights...might not be as wide as headlights, but you can see farther with driving lights than fog lights. Spot lights...have the more narrow light beam out of the bunch. all the light is focus onto ONE point (hence the "spot" name) These lights tend to shine their lights pass regular headlights. generally these are only for off road use. Personally, I am saving to buy some driving or spot lights. No more fog lights for me, they don't do much to help my lighting. I need to see farther. GOOD LUCK |

Here is why i prefer fog to driving light; fog light fill space between your car and spot where your head lights aimed at, and as NATCC99 said light pattern is very wide so you can see a curb, it eliminates tunnel effect.
BTW, Honda doesn't offer any thing else but fog lights. so if you want to get driving lights you have to go with aftermarket ones.
