Fuel Pressure Connection '94 s-10 4.3L High output

I drove my car to work last Monday after a weekend driving around in heavy snow. It ran fine. After work the car wouldn't start. The starter turns the engine over but it won't fire. Had it towed home and I'm begging the diagnostic process. The car will fire off with starter fluid, so I have spark. I can hear the fuel pump come on, however I wondering if it might still be bad even if I hear it charging the lines? The big question is, where is the fuel pressure connection so I can test the fuel pressure? Thanks a lot for any help, its much needed.

If this is the 4.3 vin code W engine, the test port is on the left rear of the engine where the fuel lines enter the plenum.
if it is a TBI engine vin code Z, you will have to test at the fuel filter

Re: Fuel Pressure Connection '94 s-10 4.3L High output

GMMerlin,
Thanks a bunch for the info. I found but unfortunately the "universal" tester I bought didn't fit the fitting. Either way I know there is some pressure there because if I depress the valve stem gas spirts out. With out putting the tester on it I won't know for sure. Incidentally its vin W. I'm wondering if the time could have got messed up somehow? Could that be the problem? How do I check the timing? Also my distributor cap contacts had heavy buildup on them, thought that might have been a part of the problem but it still didn't start. I'm at a loss.

remove the upper intake and see if the fuel regulator is leaking, you can verify this with a pressure gauge, if the pressure is dropping quick then it is probably a injector assembly.

Thanks a lot. I can't seem to find a pressure gauge that will fit. Chevy has one but it cost $500. Can anyone recommend a pressure gauge or an alternative method for diagnosis?

99ssconv, can you give me some more information on the upper intake? Is that at the throttle body or is it the intire metal thing that the throttle body is connected to?
