I have been looking for a way to have my 88 Prelude tail lights cleared but have had no luck. Can anyone tell me how to smoke my tail lights. I really dont prefer the smoke look but need to tone down these stock tails somehow. 91 Prelude tails look beteer than what I have now. Will they fit an 88? Any advice or ideas will be helpfull. Happy Holidays all

Re: Wack tail lights
You need a trunk lid and the 90-91 tails to complete the conversion from 88-89 to 90-91. The 88-89 trunks and 90-91 trunks are slightly different. There are ways to smoke the taillights. Just find some spray that is used for smoking them, and spray it on either the inside/outside, or just the outside.

Re: Re: Wack tail lights
a few of my friends did this and i would recommend it unless you were desperate for a new look. anyway the cheapest way of doing this is by using spray tint. Its about 9 bucks a bottle. First cover what you dont want to spray tint with like paper and tape, then just spray on a few layers, well....lots of layers and just make sure on the later coats you turn the lights on to see if its bleeding, then admire your handy work. k hope this helps
