short shifters

new to forum and was wondering what are some advantiges of short shifters and is it worth upgrading?

Do a search in this forum for short shifters and next time if you do that first you may get your answers much faster

Shorter throw between gears. It's definitely worth the upgrade. I've been driving with mine for about 2 years, and its a big difference over stock. And if you use a t-handle and die, you can shorten the stick even more for an even shorter throw.
But don't go cheap on this. My buddy got one for his civic for like $10, and the thing broke in the middle of a race, most likely due to slamming it into gear repeatedly.

Yes its worth upgrading, if there are "shifter bushings" upgrade those also - only like $10

Yeah, upgraded bushings are good too, almost forgot about them. I got mine from Summit for cheap, and they might be around on eBay as well.
