Resetting and removing 2000 Galant Radio

Help you Guys & Gals!!!
My battery went dead and my radio reads code when I put it on. I put what I thught was the code in and now my radio reads off.. I guess it locked me out.. So I'm trying to figure out if I can reset it myself without going to the dealership (lack of funds)
Also I don't know how to take the radio out... If you could help me with that as well..

Gently pull the bezel surrounding the radio and heater control off, and remove the screws to pull the radio. write down the number off of the top of the radio, and just call your mitsu parts department for the code and instructions!! real easy.
