I have about 50K miles on my v6 f150. Yesterday compass/temp indicator and dash instruments breifly went haywire. This has happened again 6 more times. Just intermittently not continuous. Sometimes engine will hesitate when this happens. Can anyone help?

Unhappy same problem

I PURCHASED A USED 2000 F-150 A COUPLE OF WEEKS BACK. I DROVE IT ABOUT 120 MILES AND IT STARTED HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS YOU DESCRIBED. IT HAS A TOTAL OF 49800 MILES ON THE 4.2 V6 MOTOR. WHEN MY GAUGES GO HAYWIRE THE MOTORS STARTS TO STUTTER, BUT HAS NEVER CUT COMPLETELY OFF. THIS HAS HAPPENED ABOUT THREE TIMES IN A THREE DAY PERIOD AND THATS WHEN THE COMPANY I BOUGHT IT FROM AGREED TO TAKE IT TO A DEALERSHIP TO BE FIXED. OF COARSE THE DEALERSHIP CUOLD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. IF YOU HAVE FOUND THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM OR HAVE ANY INFO THAT WILL HELP PLEASE CONTACT ME @ [email protected]
