Need Some Tips on What to Buy From Japan
Hey,
My cousin over in Japan and he was wondering what kind of models/modeling supplies he can get me for Christmas. I live in a small town so new models are rair. So I have a couple of questions. 1.) Whats a good 1/24 Tamiya model (perferable full engine detail), and whats a good 1/24 Fujimi kit that has a body kit with it (example - A Veilside kit or something). Also who makes the best 1/24 AE86? 2.) Whats a good Tamiya putty for body modifications? 3.) What are some good 5 spoke rims (black) and who makes them. 4.) Also will he be able to find 1/24 racing seats in a hobby store? Thanks for answering any of the questions.

All of them. Experience the most advanced plastic model engineering with their Enzo kit.> and whats a good 1/24 Fujimi kit that has a body kit with it > (example - A Veilside kit or something) Depends on your skill. Most of their tuned cars are derived from the factory car kits, so they always requires basic sanding and puttying. If you have basic skills, all Veilsides are okay. > who makes the best 1/24 AE86? You don't have any choice. Only Fujimi has AE86 currently in production. > 2.) Whats a good Tamiya putty for body modifications? Polyester Putty and Epoxy Putty (either Quick type or Smooth type) > 3.) What are some good 5 spoke rims (black) and who makes them. It's your choice. > 4.) Also will he be able to find 1/24 racing seats in a hobby store? Depends on the location. Tokyo, Osaka, yes, definitely. Mr. Craft, Yellow Submarine, Sakatsu to name a few. Be-J and Little Garage should have some, too |

Thanks, I dont think I'll get an Enzo yet though. Hows the quality of the Fujimi AE86? Do I need both of the puttys? Where can I find a bunch of rims and pictures on the internet?
Thanks for the help, does anyone else of any opinions?

Couldn't you just send Rubens over on your private jet and have him buy an entire store or two?

No, after he heard we werent going to re-new his contract after the 2004 season he got a little mad. But seriously, I need those questions answered so I can send the list to my cousin sometime soon.

Maybe a Eurofighter Michael? A bit quicker than your Ferrari in the wet.
