1992 Achieve SC- Heating issues

Hopefully someone will have an idea on how to get started with this issue.

My heater fan has a mind of its own. Most of the time when I start my car, there is no air being pushed from the fan (therefore no heat, defrost or defog). Bad news.

Eventually throughout my trip somewhere the heater fan will magically start working again, though on some trips it does not come on at all.

Any ideas?

you probably have a short or a bad switch. check voltage prior to switch and post switch. this will narrow it down greatly. pre-switch good / post-switch bad=bad switch.
all good=check fan just a suggestion.
