Re: crazy idleing

Whats the temperature outside when this happens? My 97, as pretty much everyone Honda I've been in, does that when it's cold until it's warmed up. Maybe that helped?

Re: crazy idleing

i'm pretty sure it's just a problem when your honda is cold in general. i drove mine for 100 or so miles, and my destination was sub-freezing temps. i got there, and my car was running so cold that this happened.

my friend's civic did this as well.

My 95 vtir prelude does the same. I took my car to Honda and they call it Humping. They seemed to blame the problem on carbon build up in some valve? And it is quiet common when the car is cold, or when there is a big build up of carbon. This is only what i was told. Makes no sense to me. Fkn annoying though!
