me vs 2001 sohc neon

ok im a pretty good driver i have a 93 dx coupe with a 160 hp b16a with matrix short ram intake and 2 1/4 inch exhuast my cousin came down to visit and he brought his 2001 sohc neon he just has a aem cold air intake the rest is all stock we take off were even we hit 2nd gear i pull maybe 1 car then we hit 3rd gear and i pull maybe 1 1/2 more or 2 more cars so by the end of the 1/4 mile i have him by about 3 car lenghts is this right should i beat him MORE? or does that sound rite?

2001 dodge neon se with aem cold air intake and its 5 speed and i have a 93 dx coupe with a b16a with short ram intake and ehxuast...

also i dont have the right ecu i have a p28 ecu i redline at 7500 rpms so im waiting to get a chipped mugen ecu so i can redline higher hopefully it will help out... i also have a 4-2-1 dc header to put on

the proper ecu will show better results than the header will.

once u get that on, u SHOULD beat him by a bit more than 3 cars.

its jus a bit faster than a civic ex, so u should be putting good distances on him (which u already did)

ok another question what if the neon had aem cold air intake / 4-1 header/ custom exhuast 2 1/4 inch and lowered and i had short ram intake/ dc header/ exhuast/ mugen ecu...? what do u think the outcome with be... realistically if we both are decent drivers

around the same. his motor will free up a bit more power from the i/h/e than ur motor will, but the mugen ecu is known for nice enough gains.

since neither would have any major differences since this race, i don't see how it'd change a lot (unless he gets a lot better at driving or vise-versa)

what would my car with my motor and i/h/e and ecu run in a 1/4 mile with a decent driver? just take a guess

low-mid 15's w/ a decent driver.

could break into 14's w/ stripped interior and race-fuel on a good day (cool, sea level track etc...)
