Spark Plugs and Wires longevity question
Does anyone have any idea how long the original spark plugs and wires should last ? My 2000 Blazer 4.3 with 65K on it doesn't have as smooth an idle as I would like....I thought that I read somewhere that the plugs should go 100K.....discuss......

Re: Spark Plugs and Wires longevity question
Plugs and wires on that model are designed to last 100k miles (for maintenance)..that doesn't mean that they cannot go bad before that time.
Rough idle on that truck could be caused by a degraded sensor, sticking injector poppets, vacum leak, plugs or wires, corrosion buildup in the dist cap...although those engines are not known for EGR problems, I wouldn't rule it out.
