I have a 12 cd-changer, JVC model KD-mk88. Problem is, last time I opened it to add some CD's, it made a bunch of noise then... nothing. The CD tray didn't pop out, and now the deck says "RESET 1" when I try to play CDs. Does anyone know if there is some way to force an eject? It seems like a simple problem, I really don't want to take it in somewhere...
Thanks. |

Re: CD Changer problem...
try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it. Just a thought

I tried unplugging the cable to the changer and plugging it back in, but that didn't change anything. I guess I might just have to take the changer out and take it apart, then remove the tray manually. The changer came with my car (I didn't install it) so I don't really know much about it. I guess I'll get to know it pretty well very soon

Re: CD Changer problem...
I didn't say unplug the changer
I said disconnect the CAR BATTERY. Usually makes a difference |

Hmm... it could be a problem with both the deck and changer. I'll try that... But I can hardly bear to reset all my clocks and stored radio stations and the like!

Re: CD Changer problem...
I just took out the changer, removed the case, and popped the tray out manually. Problem solved. Quite easy actually...
