Re: Used Springs

I would not buy any used springs for my cars. The springs have settled by now & used springs(from a donor) wont settle the same as new ones.

New H&R's are only $150 & thats for good stuff - don't go the cheap way with suspension.

Re: Used Springs

I payed $130 for my Zero1Racing coilovers and i'm not too impressed with them. Its not the price that you pay its the company that you get them from. I do agree though, you do get what you pay for.

Its your car, do as you please. I'm letting you know how to do it right the first time. Not using cheap shit, and then re-doing it with quality parts.

Think of it this way, Would a marathon runner use some cheap ass shoes? NO!!!!! Your suspension is like his/her shoes, something you feel every time the car is driven.

There are "all-around" companies who supply every kind of part, I would only buy suspension from a suspension specific company, like Neuspeed, H&R, KYB, etc. The all-around compaines try and copy parts with low quality materials, while the good stuff has R&D with quality materials.

What's the point of "upgrading" if the parts being used are worse than stock?

Re: Used Springs

They work the same, but the performance & quality will differ greatly.

Its simple don't be cheap & then you should have no problems
