honda engine question

This may be a weird question but how interchangable are honda engine blocks? I was wondering because i want to put a B18 engine in my project car, but i need to build a chasis first. If someone could tell me which engines are similar motor mount and demensions wise i could build my chasis make everything fir with out having to dish out the bucks for my good enginr right off the bat. Does any of this sound reasonable? Any help will be greatly appreciated. rock on
