Z32 2+2 Question
Okay, my question is... Are the body lines of a 2+2 300zx different than a regular 2 seater 300zx? Does having the 2+2 make the car taller, or less sloped in the back? (if that makes any sense)
I've looked at quite a few pics online, but I can't really tell and I'm not privilaged enough to look at 300zx's in person all the time. |

Re: Z32 2+2 Question
i think the 2+2 does have a different side becuase they make side skirts for 2+2 onlys, and coupe only. speaking of 2+2, are the seats in the back any comfortable? is it a tight space?

The back seats of a 2+2 are pretty small, really only good for kids or small adults, thats why it isn't a 4 seater The extra 'seats' in the 2+2 take away a bit of boot space as well.

Re: Z32 2+2 Question
ZXTT forgot to mention that the 2+2 is also wider in the rear that's why if you're looking for a body kit the rear valance will have to be a 2+2 one.
The 2+2 is 8.5 inches longer overall. To tell the difference just look for the gas door. TT's and coupes will have it in front of the driver's side rear wheel, while the 2+2's will be behind the driver's side rear wheel. |

Re: Z32 2+2 Question
thats one reason i want a coupe more than a 2+2 cuz with that extra size and seat it would weigh more so it would be slow. if i did get a 2+2, i would take the back seats out. by the way, how hard would that be??

Re: Z32 2+2 Question
Taking out the back seats is relatively easy. You'd have a LOT of space to cover though. The rear seats back rest is also attached to the rear hatch's carpet, so you'd either have to cut it or get a new one.
The 2+2 is a little heavier and a touch slower but not enough, imo, to warrant exclusion. Besides I like the larger size. It rides better and is a better handler because of it's larger wheelbase and dimensions. |

Re: Z32 2+2 Question
that is true about better handling with larger wheelbase, but still, most people race on the street in a straight line, at least here in kansas city, so the acceleration is the most important part. and the more speed, even very little, is important.
