Door won't open

I have an 89 Riviera and the passenger side door won't open. The door is unlocked and neither the outside or inside handles work. Is there any way to get the door open or to fix it.

Thanks in advance

Re: Door won't open

Do the door handles feel like there connected to anything or are they feel loose ? If the feel loose probably the handle is broken. If they feel normal the latch is either bad or stuck. You might try to wind the window down and spray the latch internally with some penetrating oil to see if that works.

Re: Door won't open

I would try to take off the inside door handle and look for a rod that is supposed to be connected to it. try to pull on that.

Re: Door won't open

my 1990 does that sometimes. try locking and ulocking the power locks frome the drivers side a couple times quickly, than reach accross to the passenger side and manually unlock the door from the ulocked position.
