One I'm waiting on.....

With the anticipation of my 1:18th diecast not getting here till the 4th month of next year, this is another kit I'm waiting on revell for. Seeing as the eclipse was a great car(metal body, pre-painted). I want this to go with it. Hope it comes soon.

I figure it'll be out in about 1-2 more years, somewhere round 05', but you can pre-order the fully detailed 1:18 non0-curbside diecast here: http://www.diecastmuscle.com/store/33447

Tamiya already makes that. Sort of. And with if you throw some work at it, you can build a fully detailed version. There have been examples of both a detailed R34 and a Too Fast Too Furious Skyline here. I don't see why we have to wait for Revell to hold our hands through and undersized and, in some respects, underdetailed model.

They're all curbside and they're Revell, I am sure they're not the only ones either, just the ones I know for certain are.

Looks like a photoshoped box to me. The picture is too clear, and text is kinda off.

Well, AFAIK these kits are done by Revell Germany, right?

Wondering when someone would notice.

Underdetailed, hmm....well if you were to compare the REVELL eclipse, and AMT eclipse, you'd know who put more time and effort into the kit. And the reason I'm waiting for this is, because A: Too expensive to do it with a tamiya, figure model, SAS kit, SAS Wing, Pegasus sleeves for the rims, paint, and the precision to paint the body I'd fudge it up. Plus, when the revel comes out, it will be prepainted, in metal, with the body kit, and an RB26dett, something (last I checked anyways) the tamiya lacks.

Oh! Ok I didn't realize you wanted it handed to you. I'd figure after your R31 drifter you wouldn't feel the need to shake a model out of the box. Why settle for a crappy Revell metal-body? You've got the skill to make a real model.

Basically, I want it to look nice, because, if I tried to build it(which I don't have the patience or skill to do) I would screw up so much, it'd end up like my other R34, stripped for parts. I might give it a try one day, but I want the revell, mostly because I get to do everything except paint the body(I'm terrrible at painting). If I really were to build my own, I'd need an R32 donor kit, can't see having a top-notch r34 like that with no guts.

Re: One I'm waiting on.....

This would be pretty cool. I really liked the Skyline in the movie, if Revel does take this photoshoped idea and make it, I'll buy it.
