New Issue of Model Art...*56k Beware*
Got this from Hobby Search along with my new Xanavai R34 from Tamiya today. This is, I guess, the rally car issue. Pity I can't read Japanese, esspecially on the scratch built Focus.

Some very impressive work there. Particularly the '03 Focus, which looks to be spot on, not like another I've seen that had the wrong headlights and wheels.
Don't like the imaginary Colt WRC at all. A relief the real '04 Lancer WRC looks nothing like that! |

Well, that's pretty it for pics. The others are in black and white and, I'm guessing, a longish article on each one...probably stating how they were made. Man, I wish could read Japanese.
The rest of the mag are ads and military models. Pity there are any pics showing how they built them.

I got it from Hobby Search, www.1999.co.jp . I believe you can also get it from Hobby Links Japan as well.

Hey guys, I was actually contemplating the same thing too: chopping up the Fujimi STI kit and splicing it to the Tamiya Sti (not rally) kit. I think it'd be quite a lot of work though, cause they don't quite seem to line up when I was putting them side by side and trying to judge their sizes. I figured that maybe Tamiya might be so kind as to release the 03 car sometime and save me the time...
Also, I can't quite tell from the pictures, but did they also convert the rear tailights? I don't quite see the little dimple on the 03/04 car. Plus, does anyone know if the Fujimi Sti "Spec C" kit actually includes the wheels that are shown on the box? Those are the north american BBS wheels, and I think they look better. But knowing Fujimi, they'd just toss the same old (undersized) wheels in there.. Oh well..! clem.. |
