No contest...

So im driving my girlfriend home last night around 12:30am, and this car starts riding my ass..I give a it a little gas to get him off and of course he is right back on me. So I just cruise and pretend not to care..I start heading for the expressway and he comes flying past me and cuts me off to get in front for the on ramp. So now i see that hes driving a 95? Golf. I see (and hear) the fart can, but thats about it. So at this point im a little ticked off so I follow him around the bend (on the on ramp) 3rd gear - bout 70k/h, So as soon as it straightens up he gives her, and I am right there with him (no other cars on the road). He stays in the inside lane and I immediatly take the left one and I pass him no problem. I can hear his whiny car screaming in the high rpms and I just make my shifts nice and smooth. It really wasnt much of a race, As soon as I hit 160kms I let off the gas and he was WAY back.(figured that was enough proof)so Im crusing (120km) and he gets on my bumper again..I get off at my exit and he follows..So i think something might be up..I get over into the other lane as we pull up to a red light and I look at him and he laughs and gives me the thumbs up..At least he wasnt a sore loser..My girlfriend laughed her ass off.

This car is the fastest that I have owned, even though I know its not that great..But I love the kick you get from the vtec. Its exciting..
I know people point out the difference in cars but I wasnt the one who initiated it. Lots of people like to race the hondas cause they dont like them. I love my car!

By the way its a 96 Prelude SR-V. Stock..

Good kill, I hate when people cut me off. It just brings out this enormous amount of rage in me.

Re: No contest...

Yeah, sorry it is the same as the vtec in the U.S. (keep forgetting its mostly Americans on this site!)
I kinda knew I would beat him, I dont usually race someone that I think I would lose to. But I never figured that it would have been that much faster! I really do love this car. Besides the speed, it is such a nice car to drive. I am very happy with my purchase. My last vehicle was a 99 Dodge Dakota Sport, I miss my truck but this was definitly a good replacement.

some of the 1.8t are pretty quick but the base model golfs are insanely slow.
