1989 Accord Shift-Interlock problem
I'm hoping someone out there has run into this problem before, and can shed some light on it for me. I have a 1989 Accord EXi and cannot get the ignition key out of the ignition lock cylinder lately, until the interior has fully warmed up. The shift interlock has been acting up as well, sometimes it will not shift out of park at all. This has just started happening since sub freezing temperatures have come to town!
When the car is fully warmed up it all works fine. I've removed the center console cover and lubed the shift interlock linkage and have lubed the ignition lock cylinder as well. Even a small twinkle of light would be appreciated!! |
