H23
Has anybody swapped an h23 in their Civic? I'm planning on doing it and I was wanting to know if it will be pretty quick compared to the b-series engines. I know it has a whole lot more torque than the b-series. I was also going to put on an H22 head on it. What kind of horsepower would an h23/h22 conversion be pushing? thanks

Re: H23
Not really sure on horsepower figures or anything. However, my friend has a 90 Teg with a B16 and he raced a guy with an H23 equipped Prelude. My friend took him off the line but was short shifting at about 7K rpm instead of taking it to 8200 rpm and ended up losing by only like 1.5-2 cars I believe. So, you might be even with a car that has a B16 in it with that engine in a civic.

you should be very happy with that swap. the only thing is i would go with the h22 insted because ur spending the about the same amount of $ for the difference of .1 ltr. do the h22 swap and you will be much happier.
