im also thinking about the h23 doch vtec. up here in toronto it isn't illegal but im not sure if it is where ur from. however parts for that motor are a bitch to find since the motor is only available in japan. the motor only comes auto 'cause its off jdm accord wagons (can be converted). parts will also be expensive because u gotta ship them in from japan. if u gots money go for it dude.

Re: Engine swap: H23A VTEC
There is no vtec h23 unless its extremely rare there is an h22 dohc vtec motor that is even better than the h23...of course if your up for it you could always put a h22 head onto a h23 block and see what kind of power you make but I dont think any of you guys are up to that yet...

h23 vtec does exist. it came in some jdm accord wagons. imho not worth buying as a whole since you can do what B1SiR6A stated above.
Stick with the h22.

Re: Engine swap: H23A VTEC
i agree stick with the h22. if you take an h22 head and a h23 block you need to use the h23 vtec ecu also or you'll be running lean do the the increase in displacement.

Re: Engine swap: H23A VTEC
True, but if you do that you will have no VTEC thus defeating the whole purpose of have the h22 head in the first place. I say p13 ecu (h22) with a hondata. Use the hondata to increase your fuel timing tables.
