question on 1st gen eclipse with evo III motor

I was recently talking to some kid i know that i am going to be dropping in a RB20DET skyline engine into a 1987 300ZX , he told me not to waste my money and just put a evo III engine into a 1st gen eclipse GSX. He said it would be a shit load easier as well as a shit load faster. I think the evo III engine would be a a simple drop in, right? 280hp seems pretty sick. With AWD. How fast do you guys think that would be. Im assuming it would be pretty easy to get it up to 350HP or so? If it is possible to put in these engines, what is the reliability , i get mixed reveiws on mitsu's people either say they are very reliable or always broken.

Has anyone seen this done or have a car like this? If so how about wiring this stuff up, is it just like stock?

Just get a GSX and mod the motor. This isn't Honda-Tech, we don't need swaps to be fast.

ANY car you mod will decrease in reliability.

350hp is a very attainable goal on a stock bottom end.

Ha! The 4g63 laughs at that 350 hp! The 4g63 has been able to attain over 500whp on a stock block, go with a first gen 1g with a 6 bolt engine awd and you should be able to go past that 350 goal with ease.
