1996 blazer shifts hard between 1st+2nd

Ok, heres what its doin every 3 or 4 days my 96 blazers check engine light comes on and it shifts real hard from 1st to 2nd like it has a shift kit in it. from 2nd to 3rd its not as hard and 3rd to 4th even less noticable it also cuts out and misses when accellerating. only does it for aday or two and then back to running like brand new This random problem has been going on for 3 months Anyone got any ideas whats causing this.

When my truck was shifting like that, it turned out to be the Throttle position sensor. I am not sure if it was throwing a code, because at the same time, I needed 2 O2 sensors, so those kept throwing codes. At the time, I sent it to the dealer to get it all repaired.

Thanks , Superdawg for the info.I'll check out the TPS,+02 sensors not sure if theres 2 or 4 02s on my year did call on the TPS $27 at auto zone. I was going to take it to the shop and run codes till my kid slipped and told me ive got an OBD2 tester under the tree. Ill let you know how she turns out. Sweet truck.

haha, nice. The O2 sensor problem wasn't related to the throttle position sensor. I had 2 of the 4 O2 sensors bad, for a good year and a half or so. They'd throw a code here and there, but always clear. But yeah, there are 4 O2 sensors in the 1996 Blazers.
