California smog check
Girl next door has a 1994 Honda Civic SOHC VTEC with a DC header. It has an O2 sensor, but probably due to visual inspection, she cant get it smogged. If anyone has gotten a car smogged in Cali by simply adding a heat shield to cover the header during the check, please post up.
Otherwise, any bay area peeps that have a manifold for sale, let me know. Thanks KC |

Re: California smog check
off the topic noob question...whats an O2 sensor? what does that have to do with the smog check? what i know is that if it is street legal, it can be used for smog check. being street legal...i think there are those badges or something like that on the aftermarket part.

Re: California smog check
An O2 sensor monitors the oxygen levels and carbon monoxide levels and sends a signal back to the ECU to tell it to lean out or richen the fuel to air mixture throughout the RPM scale.

Re: California smog check
ow ok. always something new to learn everyday. well anyways, back to the topic...try finding out from DC if the headers on the car are street legal and ask if they can be used for smog check. coz from what i know, DC headers are street legal.
