Delorean Back to the future 1

Hi !

Here is my latest model ! I am quite happy about the result ! please let me know what you think !

for them who are interested, you have a full article here

And finally, for them who are really interested, I also added about 30 reference pictures of the real Delorean taken at the Universal Studios Hollywood-USA. It is on the "photoscope" section of my club's website !

Cheers,
Steve

Re: Delorean Back to the future 1

Hi! Good work! I found your model nicely weathered.
I was myself planning to do this model- with little extras: I've started to cut the doors, to show them opened...
Thank you for the photoscope, very usefull!
Et puis, c'est toujours un plaisir de voir ici les oeuvres de maquettistes français!... ;-)

Wow, that looks so real when I open the thread my computer slows down. Okay, so it's time for me to get a new computer, BUT, that is still a great job. One of the few movie cars that doesn't seem toylike.

Great Job!!! I have one sitting on my shelf to build...your work has inspired me!!!

Thanks also for the reference photos- they will be very useful!

Anybody thought about a diorama with this car. Can't decide to do "the libyans" scene at the mall, or the clocktower.

"The libyans scene would be very cool I think...I know I can get a 1/24 VW Bus...what about Doc's panel van?

Re: Delorean Back to the future 1

Yeah! Great work!! Love it!!

As a fan of the movie, I'm lucky, as I grew up near the Twin (Lone) Pines Mall (actually the Puente Hills Mall) and the high school (Whittier High) used in the film, as well as near to Hollywood itself, and I'd been on the backlot tour many times.

I've built the ver.II movie car a long time ago, but I'm in the middle fo converting a couple of the Aoshima kits into street Delorean cars... Quite a task, let me tell you...

Re: Delorean Back to the future 1

Top stuff, nicely weathered and 'busy' at the back. Like the idea of the stainless steel finish.
