revell civic progress

here's some pics of the revell civic i'm doing. the only thing different in the interior is the 6x9's i dremeled in the back. And notice the graphics on the side of the car (airbrushed with masking tape stencil...with clear coat over)

the interior looks clean with impressive dremel work speaker, the engine is clean as well! and the exterior has some cool graphics and appears to be shiny (what happened with the pixelation?)

i like the two tone interior i do similar on my civic and integra click my www to check them out.

GREAT WORK!!!

dremel work

well i just placed the speakers where i wanted them and traced over them with a pencil. Then i drilled a small hole where the center of the traced circle was. i then used a skinny lateral abbrasive tool (looks like a regular drill bit, but it has a bulge at the tip with edges on the side of it to widen tiny holes. then then circular sandpaper attachment to keep widening the holes (go little by little on the lowest speed, and keep testing the fit of the speakers, try to keep it looking like the shape of the speakers. once you're semi-happy with the fit, just use regular sandpaper and grind away the uneven spots till you're happy....not too much on one side, because then you'll see a space right through it. the idea is to keep the hole in the shape of the speaker

That's looking good! The stripe is great. This revell kit looks pretty detailed. Might have to get one myself sometime
