1995 Grand Am SE 4 door water on floor & carpets

My 1995 Grand Am 4 Door SE has 1 inch thick of water on all floorboards
It does not seem to be the car wash. It occurs mostly when driving when raining or wet.

Does anyone have suggestions where all this water might come from. There is no obvious leak from winshield, heater core.
I checked the underbody, and the wheel wells (no holes or rust found)

It is especially worse on both passenger front and rear floor.

All suggestions are welcome.
Thanks to all.

I found that the heater box right behind the console broken on my car and it would leak water through there. Also pull the carpet and insulation away from the firewall on the passenger side, look at the firewall and see if there is any rust. If there is rust then you more than likely have a hole in the firewall. I cleaned mine up and used fiberglass and tar to seal it back up. The hole is hard to see on the outside as it is below the heater motor. Hope this helps you.

I had to replace the heater box(core) on my 95 Grand Am. The little plastic tubes had broken and all the coolant drained out. I picked 1 up at Napa for about $35. It was all metal. No plastic tubes. Kind of a pain to replace.

Hey Jpit, same thing happened with my sister's car. And my dad did the exact same thing... 35 bucks at NAPA.

Now, if I could just get him to dump some money into my Fiero.

That's gotta be frustrating, I have a water leak through the moonroof in my 88 grand am, that'll keep people from cluttering my car up with their junk though!

You could try going for maybe a five minute drive around the neighbourhood the next time it rains- that should prevent the floor from becoming oversaturated, and enable you to pick out where exactly the water's coming from. You might also want to check the door seal(s).

before replacing parts , has the windshield ever been replaced and if so along the passenger side cowl (thats the part that covers the whole lower edge of the windshield) it should be glued to the glass to prevent water from entering that area. if it isnt water goes directly into the blower motor inlet, fills up in the duct and spills over onto the floor inside the car. this is an extremely common problem on that particular car.
