Question History lesson needed ,please!

Thought I'd throw this one to the experts.......

Did Cadillac ever make thev '59 Eldorado convertible in right-hand drive? .If so ,where were they shipped to?

The reason I ask , its virtually impossible to register a left-hooker in N.Z.
I'd love A '59 but know of only 2 in N.Z.,both lhd registered prior to law change.

cheers, 'naki.

No. I've researched this subject many times over the years and could not come up with anything. I personally thought it would be cool to have a right-hand drive Cadillac here in the states. I've read a few articles about right-hand drive Cadillacs in Australia and they were all custom conversions. As far as I know the same law applies in Australia.
Cadillacs were exported all over the world in the past and none were converted to right-hand drive for their specific market. The only conversions usually were those just to comply with local lamp and glass regulations.
