Is my car still worth hooking up? I have a 98 Black Maxima Se with 143,000 miles on it. The body is in great condition and it also run great until lately. I have an intake, y-pipe, and catback. I was planning on putting a body kit on it and dropping it, but I'm not sure if this car will last me a lot longer. I hope it does. What do you think?

Re: Worth hooking up?
i had a 95 last 167,000 before i sold it. it showed no signs of eminent breakdown. it had a intake cat-back and y pipe.
my friend works at mobil: oil change express and he's had 4th gen maxima's come in with 250,000+ miles and he says they rev strong and don't tick or knock in most cases. he went out and bought a pathfinder based on his discovery of how high quality the engines are. you may as well work it, any mods that'll "kill" your engine are one there already. why do you say ...until lately? what's wrong with your car?
