projector corner light clash

hey i juss bought some black JDM projectors and i was wonderin if any1 knows if they do make black corners for 90-91 civic or if 88-89 corners will fit with a lil modification. clear corners will look shitty wit black pro's. if im shit outta luck with both options how would amber jdm corners look? thanks ppl

Yea man, theres 90-91 black corners. Look on ebay, theres a few (not right now actually) but usually theres a couple up for sale. Good luck.

I believe that they will fit fine but you need to switch the brackets and use the ones for the 90-91 that are already on your car....

do you mean the mounting bracket on the back of the corner lights i got now? Dayum u CRX guys are lucky to have those clear JDM black corners!

Yeah you just have to swap the brackets from the ones you have know. Im pretty sure it will work. It worked for my friend.

im guessing it would be a bitch to take off the backing of a corner light?!?! they seem fused together, but hey im willing to try it... couldn't hurt

Just use a Black transparent paint from a hobby store on some clear corners. I bought mine for like $12, I can't remember where. They have some on Speedpeople.com for $15 though.

anybody try to use crx corners on there civi? i could use some opinions on what to do, i got jdm black projectors and i need suttin to kinda look good with it other then clear corners. thanks

CZ-R, I appreciate ur help. I got the same projectors u have with blue ION projector. I juss got um off ebay the other day so they should be arriving soon. Your corner lights turned out great. I dont have a dremel tool nor do i wanna destroy the lenses by boiling um.. got any other ideas? and once i get the lenses off juss using fine grit sand paper and then painting the inner housing glossy black would be a ok plan? thanks alot again for ur help

Yeah, but... You also had to replace the fenders. Why do that just to be able to buy the black corners?

And yes, I did my lenses with a dremel (worth every penny - get one ). I just used a cut-off wheel & cut the lenses apart from the back side. Grid off all the 'chrome' inside the lense, paint black (I used gloss black - just because I thought it would reflect better). Oh, and I used black RTV to glue/seal the lenses back together.

As for the "JDM" amber lenses... I just used amber bulbs in my corners (after converting the corners to black) & at night they look just like the amber lenses... I'll have to take a pic...
