very nice - but I'm so tired of seeing WRXs - they're almost as common as Commodes

Setanta, what does the 1st gen, that one of the NSW Honda Car Club members is selling look like?? My sister was going through the website, and I think she said it was like for sale for like 12K, but had all these mods - big turbo and stuff.

Also, did you see the 1st gen at Small Car Sunday. Yellow, looks nice, was also for sale. Had a city turbo in that one, all done up for $7k. She is getting real tempted, because she misses her 1st gen.

I'm not sure which 1G it is - I'll see if I can work it out tonight. Is the yellow one the one from fast 4s - 16 inch chrome wheels, CRX dash etc with the City turbo motor? If so, it's a dream

I'm getting the 1G blues really bad - a D16b swap into one is looking better and better - that or a nice city turbo swap with EN stroker rods and crank.

Oh god - you've got me started....

Quyen - that Civic isn't a HCC car - it's a full on race car built by racecraft. It may be streetable - but it's interior is very fussy.
I read about this one a long time back. I'd love it - but not for 12000 bucks.

Peter is a racer from way back. He has built and raced all sorts of race cars for track and speedway. He started with a very early MG. Peter is a wealth of info and knows a hell of a very cool tricks for racecars. The civic is his road car and he admits he has spent a small fortune on it. This investment warrant the continued expense and development of this awesome machine.

Peter’s car was the ultimate sleeper when pictured here. Other than the custom 13 inch Momo rims it looked completely stock right down to the seats and steering wheel. What is so special about it? Try about 210hp from a bored and stroked EB Motor (1430cc). That comes about with the aid of Motec EFI, a garret GT25 ball bearing turbo, tuned equal length bunch of bananas turbo manifold, intercooler, forged cosworth pistons, twin blow off valves, 4 core radiator and a whole bunch more.

The only hint of anything other than standard from the cockpit is the bevy of instruments on the dash. I think there is even an analogue clock there somewhere!

The underside has not been forgotten either. It has custom fabricated Koni yellow gas shocks, lowered springs, front and rear sway bars tied in with rod ends, adjustable camber and caster, spherical bearing strut tops front and rear. Brakes feature 10 inch discs with massive alloy callipers as shown in the brakes section. Wheels are very light custom momo magnesiums wrapped in dunlop racing tyres. A quaife LSD has also just been fitted.

The car holds the touring car lap record at the local track previously held by other cars such as an STI WRX, a 400hp MR2, an EVO5 Lancer, Lotus 7 replica. On the day a driver turned up with an S2000, he was insulted at having to share the track withg a 25yr old civic. He was even more upset when he was lapped by the same car!

Lately it has been upgraded with a flutted bonnet, mugen front splitter, race drivers seat and steering wheel, quaife LSD, even bigger radiator, lexan windows.

... anyway - racecraft are responsible for bringing the widebody Mugen body kit and rear wing back to the SBC (1G) Civics. I'm thinking of getting the kit and then tracking down a decent shell to fit it to and then go from there.

Pic of it next to an n600 and S600:

Actually - what I'd love is a widebodied bulldog City Turbo 2 - even bigger kit than the factory standard

Tempting...tempting....but needs work.

Bummer about the City Turbo - if you see him, ask him if he wants to sell it complete - I can't bring myself to heavily mod the SiR... but I could have fun with the City
