some races last night

raced a few cars friday night.....nothin organized all from a roll on the highway...first we roll up on a rsx type s ...he had what looked to be an N1....well we threw it in 3rd and we were dead even...once in 4th he pulled a very small amount on me..like he moved up a tire on me but that was about it...we called it quits at about 105mph...next was a celica gts (new one) he had a body kit ...third drop again...i pulled some in third but he was still next to me...then 4th gear...i pulled a good car ...but he may have let off....i dont know..but then he threw it down again and did the super ricer flyby...i didnt care though....last was one of those 32 valve double overhead cam cobras from 96-....any ways...i threw third...i did not even hear him he just walked like it was nothing...

one thing i have noticed about my ls swap is i can roll with a lot of people but rarely beat the faster newer hondas...just be with them pretty good....

Re: some races last night

How can you keep up with a 200 hp 6speed car from a roll and yours is only 140 h.p. Its lighter but it doesent compensate for 60 hp...not saying your lying or anything just wondering how can you run that fast and so underpowered against other cars that are way faster on paper.

well...street racing is rarely accurate...it mostly driver against driver...
i rolled with him cause my car is quick i ran a 15.2 and rsx type s runs a 15.0-15.4 aproxamaitly...anyways...i raced my friends 03 mustang gt..about a hundred times and he always wins...but last night we were on the highway...and he threw it in second bounced rev limiter for too long and i had a chance to pull on him and he had alot of trouble passin me...so his driver error let me roll better with him a least one time..but evry other time he pulls on me.by a car or 2

Re: some races last night

my point exactly, in my mind a race is always from a dead stop, 90% of a race is reaction and launch. other than that you might as well be driving an automatic

Re: some races last night

Nice races. My friend's got an LS teg and I've driven it a few times.. The power curve on those seems pretty flat, never gets faster or slower, no matter what rpm it would pick up the same.. I guess the torque makes it feel that way anyways. On an RSX the higher the rpm the quicker it feels so high speed races between u two is kind of a predestined loss.
