Will date fat-nasty cousin for mods
I've done the research and I have decided on the mods for my 1997 I30. Gonna go with the Jim Wolf Cams and springs ($1400), the Stillen billet aluminum flywheel and pulley wheel ($900), and the Frankencar intake and catback ($750). Should yield about 35hp, a quicker rev without a negative impact to the mileage, and a mildly quiet performance inhancement. On the body, I want to repaint it the original tan and change my 15x7 for 16x8. However I have no money.
So I'll take out that cousin, crazy lazy eyed aunt or cleptomanic mother in law on a date - for a price. You know the one, she smells like tuna and cabbage! She's on your woman side of the family. It's all negotiable, but the longer she's been out of circulation the more it's gonna cost ya. I got Pine Sol, Lysol and Tic Tac's ready and waiting. Operators are standing by... |

Re: Will date fat-nasty cousin for mods
From what I've heard, the Cams aren't worth it. You pay too much and get too little. Plus all the work involved. Get a MEVI and a New ECU. Y pipe and Intake. Maybe a UDP. I bet that would yield more power and be easier on the ole walet.

the ecu+mevi will give you a 7200 rpm redline(depending on who tunes it) and lots of topend power. I'd get a clutch and flywheel, intake(which from now on should go without say),& y pipe+cat-back w/ resonator. that fucker'll boogey.
