Drifting in Norway!

Hi guys.

Just dropped by to let you know that drifting is getting big in Scandinavia! We have a long tradition for sports where car control is very important. As you might know, this years World Rally Champion, Petter Solberg, is Norwegian, and rallying is a big sport in Scandinavia. In rallying you need a high level of car control. Not because you go sideways all the time, but because you need the ability to recover when entering a turn to fast, or driving on loose surfaces. We have a lot of snow during the winter time, and and are used to sliding around. The crowd love it, but it's not fast.

So when we discovered drifting we were thrilled to see that somebody actually made up a motorsport that awarded the driving skills that the crowd wants to see.

So if you'd like to see some vid's of what we're up to in Norway, visit my teams website www.kamikazedrifters.com. I've even made it in english for you guys

Classy looking Toyota you've got there.

It's pretty neat to hear about drifting spreading worldwide, especially in the home of the 1000 Lakes Rally.

Man, I saw 1978 footage of that once. After drooling over the Lancia Stratoses and Cossie Escorts, I couldn't help but think there's a lot of nice scenery to go driving through up there.
