1995 revs fine but bogs down when given gas

Changed spark plugs and wires- to no avail. What is the problem?
Hope it's not too expensive.

check the fuel pressure. check cat converter?

I'm having a similiar problem with my 93 gmc sierra 5.7 ! it stalls when letting off the the clutch! it idles poorly also! I changed the fuel filter,wires,cap,rotor,I removed the full pump and that checked out fine!NOW I have the distributer out & all apart as requested from my friends at gm dealership,to look for cracks on the underside of the pickup on the shaft that seems OK to! NOW they think it might be injectors & regutator ? at $144 per injector & $75 for regulator "NOT GONNA HAPPEN"!!!! because if that dont fix it i'm afraid their going to tell me it needs a COMPUTER !!! this happened once before but fixed it self!!! definetly seems electrical/ignition to me!!the well trained techs are baffled too!! any suggestions?

sounds like the egr valve is sticking open.unplug the vacum line to the egr valve and see if the problem goes away.

yep! I just changed the shaft in the distributer ,the pickup coil and module too.now i'm gonna replace the electronic spark control module .because it runs but falls off at higher rpms now. i'm running out parts to change! FOR SALE 93 GMC CHEAP!!!"LOTS OF NEW PARTS" WANTED NISSAN TITAN!
