Unhappy 1989 Ford Escort, Help Meeeeeeeee!

I Changed The Battery. Burnt A Fusable Link. Replaced Fusable Link. Connected The Battery. Now The Car Wants To Start As Soon As I Connect The Negative Terminal Of The Battery. I Was Told It Might Be The Cylliloid? Something Like That. Help Me Please.
