95 headlight problem
Ok first of all, I did search the board but couldn't find anything helpful. My driver's side headlight wont come on. A few months ago, I left my lights on for a whole day, and after I recharged the battery the light wouldn't come on. When I tried to see what's wrong with it, I pushed the cables to the side, and it lit up. I had been doing that for the past 3 months. Last weekend, it wouldn't come on at all, and I've been driving with one light since then. I'm about to go get new bulbs for it. The high beams work fine, but the the driviers side headlight won't turn on when I turn on the low beams. I just wanna make sure that it's the bulb, and not something else. Plus, just to make sure, it's a H4 bulb, anything else I should be looking for?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

I think you need a new bulb. Bulbs have two little lights in them, one for low and one for high beam. Usually people blow the low beam and the high still works. So you probably need a new bulb.

Hmm, I just bought a new bulb and...same result. High beam is still working, low beam still doesn't. My only guess right now would be is that one of the wires leading to the low beam is not working properly. Does anyone know which wires are for the low beam, and which ones are for the high beams?

Get a test light and test them where the wire meets the light harness, it should be bare there so you won't have to strip any of the wire. Test it to see for sure that it's not getting juice, and then you can start to track down your problem.

Ok, I found the problem, one of the fuses located underneath the dashboard burned out. I switched the right one with the left one just to make sure, and it's working now. Thanx for you help
