350Z potential

Right now i drive a 97 Cobra...In a year or two I'll be looking to buy a new car and I like the 350Z but have a couple questions. How much or rwhp can this car make and still be a daily driver? Is the car built well? I've heard that some parts of the car are not built kind of cheap (no offense). Just out of curiosity what's the fastest 350Zout there right now?

Re: 350Z potential

I'm guessing that as long as it can run on pump gas, passes emissions, and is still safe in the event of an accident that would qualify as street legal. Tires d.o.t. approved as well.
Nissans in general are built well. I'm sure there's many, many Nissans on the road today that have 200,300K on them if not more.
Fastest 350Z right now, I'd say would be Greddy's Twin Turbo'd 350Z.

Actually, 350's running the ATI Procharger are recording higher HP numbers than those being shown for the GReddy Kit. ATI numbers are around 370 RWHP when tuned correctly. Problem is that I think that the kit needs to include a timing control box to be considered reliable, along with colder range spark plugs.

Re: 350Z potential

most hp i know of is a kid with the greddy TT and SGP built internals on about 12 psi of boost hitting 500 whp..fastest 1/4 time ive seen w/o slicks is from a procharged one hitting 12.0..the vq is one of the strongest motors in the world, has won many awards in the last few years and also is in almost every nissan and infiniti car..
