Wink Stock 97 GTP 1/8 Mile Times

Yesterday i was 9.557 sec in a 1/8 Mile, with .183 reaction, and 75.73MPH... its normal for a Stock 97 GTP ? Only has the TB Screen Removed. Beating V8's , in special a 97 Red Mustang GT V8 4.6L 5spd with slicks jeje... I was the Winner, her best time was 9.574 (mustang), i was first on the finish line .

Sound bout right. What was your 60ft time.

Your 60ft time is very important, 2.0 is considered really good on stock tires.

Free mods:

Besides those, get yourself a pulley system with a 3.4 pulley

Re: Stock 97 GTP 1/8 Mile Times

It is the first time IC that the 60ft time second has been measured. I measured my car and is a slow starter 0-60 8.64 and from 60-110 4.05. THose are the only timing I have checked on my car. To me the 0-60 in this case is kinda slow(I chaged the tranny from 3.29 to 2.93 to get a better high end performance, but the start sucks big time).

First of all, the VIN number that my GTP has is coupled with 3.29 tranny. So I can safely assume that depending on the year/VIN
is what tranny the car has installed. Mine came with a 3.29 from factory and I changed it to a 2.93 wich as I can see is what you have.
As you can see not all GTP's are necessarily combined in exactly the same way.

Regarding the numbers you are giving, I never been on a strip. So all I understand is the time from 0-60 and the time on the 1/4 mile or 1/8 mile. The 60 feet and the other measurements you are talking about are chineese to me.
All I have measured on my car is the 0-60MPH time and 60MPH-110MPH which are the 8.64 and the 4.05 respectively. That is what I am talking about.

Thanks
