Alright, the topic isn't that childish, some people still like it. So who has any and do they want to share their creations with us?

Wow, I loved those. I still have them somewhere. When my younger cousins come over I sometimes still play with them. I've made everything out of them: A technic car with 3 speed transmission and pistons that moved. A 12 story building. A city. All kinds of cars/airplanes/helicopters/boats et cetera. Stadium, hockey rink, space stations, tanks, trains, cranes, castles, pirate ships, houses, robots, what ever. You name it, I built it one time or another. Boy, I wish I were young again.

I played dinky cars more than lego, but I still have a yellow Jeep CJ with a working shifter and the steering wheel turns the front wheels. It's got a winch too.

Oh yeah, that's pretty much all I played with as a kid. I've got the biggest collection ever, over 22 pounds of the stuff. Havn't played with it in a while, but as soon as I have kids, I'll be back into it.

I was afraid nobody was going to say that they liked them so I guess I'm okay. I got the Big red Supercar for Christmas last year and I loved it ever since, I dropped in a V12 and put on a body kit and rolbars so now it looks identical to a 550 Barchetta. I have well over 25,000 pieces of Lego and I still build stuff every week. My latest project is a Porsche 911. I have to do lots of work on it but I might post pics of it if you guys want. Right now it has a Flat 4 (Yeah I know), independant rear suspension and the drive shaft is linked to the five speed from my 550. I have just a little bit left to do on the chassis so I got about a month's work left on the car. I also built a Trebuchet recently that threw wheels about 2.5 meters.

Wow, you're really into it. Can't wait to see the Turbo. Did you see the life size lego F1 car built by some college guys a few years back?

Legos must have changed a lot since I was a kid cause I never remember being able to build anything that resembled a real car or being able to make transmissions and engines either.

Yeah it has changed drastically over the last few years, They now have a robotics set that allows KIDS to build and program there own robots, it isn't robots that go in circles either, some 20 year old guy has build Lego VCR's, cars that retrieve tennis balls and other stuff that should be left to the DND. They also have devoloped complex suspension on some high end models along with transmissions and rack & pinion steering.

Aside from my Jeep, I only ever had the basic blocks. All I could build good was a multi-colored wall.

Yep, you cant beat the simple things in live like lego.

These days you need shares in a battery factory to keep up with all the new toys you buy.
