Please Help! Will a '94 lesabre 3800 fit in a '95 regal

My wife has a 1995 Regal Custom with a 3800. Her motor has a bent connecting rod. I have the opportunity to purchase a 1994 Lesabre limited 3800. Are these motors interchangeable? I have a friend who works at a local junkyard that says no. Does anyone in this forum know for sure? Your help is greatly appreciated, it could influence whether or not my wife will be able to return to college next semester. Without a car, she can't commute.

your buddy at the junkyard doesnt know about cars apperently! They are one in the same.

I would have to agree with the previous poster, they are the exact same engine, down to the wiring harness.

Same engine but different mounts! The mounts can be swapped out!!!
