Question SL2 battery removal

Hey there, total newbie to cars...but I have a 91 (maybe 92?) SL2 in which the battery had gone dead and the car has been sitting for awhile, so the battery's totally dead (jump start won't turn over the engine). So, I bought a new battery and figured I'd swap it out...however there's this pesky heat shield on the it.

I've removed one bolt that holds down a metal bar extending from the heat shield and a bolt that secures the bar to the frame. However, when I try to pull the battery and shield out, it seems that one end (the end near the middle of the car) is still secured one way or another and I can't see what it is.

Can any kind soul help me out with some information on how to remove the battery? Or...should I just get a professional to come to the house to swap them out (or, even worse, have it towed to someone just to swap the battery)?

Is it supposed to be this tough to take out a batter?

Thanks!!

battery removal

It's a pain i9n the ass to remove/replace the battery. There's one more bolt down deep at the level of the bottom of the battery that needs to be removed. Then the metal strap will lift off and the battery can be removed. No rocket sdcientists there when it came to designing a user-friendly battery removal.
