The transmission fluid is also called the transaxle fluid.

Transaxel fluid should be changed every 30,000 miles using 10W-30 SE or 10W-40 SE.

Manual Transaxle
The oil filler plug is at the 9:00 o'clock position of the transaxle housing, tightened to 45 N m or 33 ft lbs.
The drain plug is a square head bolt at the 4:00-5:00 o'clock position, tightened to 40 N m or 29 ft lbs.

Automatic Transaxle
Check the dip stick with yellow loop, located on the front of the engine.
The drain plug is located on the bottom of the transaxle housing, tightened to 40 N m or 29 ft lbs.
Make sure the quantity of fluid you add is always less than the specified quantity, due to the remaining fluid left in the transaxle housing recesses.

Re: Tranny Fluid

Both reply's are wrong - he's asking about AUTO trans fluid that leaked out from the auto trans cooler located inside the radiator.

You would add transmission fluid into the transmission's dip stick/fill while the engine is off - run the car & put the trans in each gear for 15 seconds, return to park shut engine off & re-check fluid level, add as needed after that.

ALWAYS check Honda/Acura auto trans with the engine off or the dipstick may get caught in a gear & get chewed up inside the trans - thats not good & the reason why Honda/Acura says to check with engine off.

Where exactly is your dipstick located? I can't remember but I did reply to your PM, telling you its either towards the front or back of transmission, usually yellow while the enigne oil dipstick is orange.
