Angry Water Leak

My 95 Yukon GT has developed a water leak that appears to be coming from the cowl down to the blower moter and leaking out of the blower motor housing and on to the passanger floor mat. Has anyone had this issue or know if there possibly a clogged drain in the cowl that I might need to clean?

Re: Water Leak

Please let me know if you solve your problem. In Sept 0f 03 I bought a great 99 Yukon that has the same problem...it leaks when it rains & the vehicle is just parked & not running. I have had difficulty making it leak to fix it myself. A body shop looked at it but couldn't get it to leak. Thanks !

Re: Water Leak

I have a 96 with same problem. When I wash it or when it rains, water on passenger floor. After much research, I resolved it! Remove wipers, remove plastic cowl cover. On passenger side, one of the mounting holes for the plastic cover is directly over the outdoor intake for the climate system. Mine was missing the screw. Turns out the hole was enlarged which is probably why the screw was gone. Anyway I siliconed and installed oversized screw I have washed and we have seen a couple of rainstorms - no leak!!! Take a look at yours. If you receive this, let me know ([email protected]). I saw your postings looking for a solution. Just want to make sure my time spent goes to good use beyond my issue.
