My car won't start!
I recently got an bmw 318i 1985, its a gift from a cousin of mine, he told me he have not used the car in the past year so it just sat there in the driveway, when i got he said that the only problem with it was the oxygen sensor so it idle rough, i found out later on that the air flow meter was bad, so it was giving me problems, just las week i got and try to start it but no luck, i replace the oxygen sensor and the air flow meter but still no luck... i notice, when i remove the air flow meter that in the hose has some gasoline on it, i poured it out and cranked it but no luck, just a smell of gasoline, that told me the hose got some again.
also i notice when i cranked it the ignition stayed on! like trying to crank on its on! any sugestions on what may be wrong or how to fix it on a tight budget?

It sound like the cold start injector has gone bad, it is the one with the blue connector on the intake manifold.
I would just pull the connector, use a small screwdriver or your finger to push the silver spring clip in, do not pull the clip off, it's a pain to put back ... and unclip the connector. The car should start now ... if not check if the ignition is getting fire by pulling one of the plug wires and plugging a spark plug into the connector, and seeing if it sparks on the engine block. A note of caution, be careful with sparks and gasoline in the same spot, and make sure you use a spark plug in the lead to check for spark, otherwise you will fry the ECU with a current flow that is too high without a spark plug on the lead. Your other problem sounds like a worn out ignition switch ... you have to go and get one from the breakers ... a switch from any e30 (your and my cars) will fit.

Sorry about this ... another tip ... check the fuel pressure regulator and the pipe going to it, that is also probably bad if you have excess fuel going to the engine.
Also you got the car as a gift, that's great man, keep on working on the problems ... once they are fixed you will see how great that little car is ... I absolutely LOVE mine !!!

Hmm,
 To test the fuel system you can bypass the fuel relay to get the pumps to work. It is a relay with a solid state board internal. In place of a diagram I will explain the connections. Pin 31 is the ground and the wire is Brown Pin 1 is the RPM sensor and the wire is Black Pin 87b is Fuel Pumps and the wire is Violet and Red Pin 87 is Fuel injectors and the wire is Red and white The others are power in Pin 15 is hot in run or start Pin 50 is hot in start only Pin 30 is the main input and is hot all the time. To bypass the relay short between pins 30 and 87. The fuel pumps should run. Later,

Thanks for all your help! i got it to work now but the revolutions are giving me trouble, idles rough and won't stay running on park until it has been running for a while. and damn! the electrical stuff in the interior its crazy!

You need to make sure
it is not a valve adjustment, bad sparkplug, bad plug wire, of any tuneup issue before going forward.
If you are sure it is not an intake leak, yep the whole crankcase is in the intake, remove the dip stick to see, Then you can go read SAM, do you know SAM? http://www.mesaperformance.com/faqs/idle.html Later,
