Next mod?

Hey whats up! Got a civic 2000 d16y8, with 4-1 headers, exhaust, cai. What would you reccommend I do next for a significant hp\tq gain? That is besides nitrous and turbo, thats gonna come later. Pulleys? Cam gears?

Thanks!

Crank pulley, underdrive alt/ps pullies, Light flywheel and new clutch. You'll need the clutch anyway after you get the turbo.

Re: Next mod?

don't get the pulley for your alt. From what I've read, the weight of the pulley on your alt helps create the drag that really gets the sucker spinning and keeps the battery charged and everything running. If you lighten the pulley the alt won't produce as many amps as it's supposed to.

BTW: why did you get a CAI and header if you're planning on turboing the motor? What a waste of money.

If your going to go with boost, you should build up your block. Forged rods, pistons and sleeve the block. Should run about $1500+ depending on what parts you get and where you get them from.

Re: Re: Next mod?

Get a grounding kit for about $120. My buddy had the shop install it in his stock Civic and he gained 7whp, along with having brighter lights. I didn't believe it until I saw the dynochart, so yes it's a proven fact these things add, er, "free up" hp. (unless you don't believe me )
