vectra tuning

Hello friends!
can anyone help me? I want to get rid of the understeer on my vectra ((sri v6 2.5) 2wd) thinking about a soft setting on the front + hard on the rear! will this work? any other ideas? Also does anyone know how I can get more power/torque + what offers the best value for money eg superchip/induction kit/nos???
At the moment it feels like I keep banging my head against a brick wall!
thankyou
